Josh Ayers is a seasoned professional with more than 20 years of domestic and international experience as a researcher, project manager, and development specialist. His unwavering dedication lies in alleviating human suffering, especially related to disasters and conflict across the globe. With a robust technical background in humanitarian aid, sustainable development, disaster risk reduction, resilience, and adaptation, Josh brings invaluable expertise to the grant acquisition process.

He is a highly skilled grant consultant with a wealth of expertise and a proven track record in securing funding for a diverse range of organizations. With a deep understanding of the grant application process and a strategic approach to grant writing, Josh has helped numerous clients maximize their funding opportunities and achieve their goals. Josh’s grant acquisition experience spans a broad range of funding mechanisms and partnerships, from single applicant foundation grants to multi-partner, multi-stakeholder, multilateral fund acquisition processes for grants exceeding $100 million. He especially excels in conducting thorough research, collecting and analyzing data, and translating complex ideas into clear and persuasive narratives that resonate with grant reviewers. Additionally, Josh brings a decade of experience in facilitating effective strategic planning processes and workshops, helping teams around the world achieve clarity of mission and translate that mission into effective operational and organizational strategies, programs, and projects.

He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Georgia Institute of Technology before pursuing a Master’s Degree in Development and Emergency Practice from Oxford Brookes University in England. Currently, he is completing a PhD in Urban Resilience and Adaptation.
